I dreamed of Peace and Pleasure
I dreamed of Beer & Gin
I met some friends I never knew and others I’ll not see again
I laughed until I could not laugh and danced with most the men
I kissed and hugged and smooched a lot
with Friends I love and Love a Lot
and expect this joy can really not
repeat its self again
The soft white lights and blue delights
The candles burning in the night
The fountain running thru the night
The Rat Pack singing Pure Delight
I had my Sapphire Party
The Party I needed to give
So keep those Peace Signs close to you
Who Knows how Long we’ll Live
Love love the great poem!!!!! Had such a wonderful time with you Dru, decorating and then relaxing with you over our libations. So much fun seeing our classmates that were able to attend!!
HI to you sweet sweet Jane, sorry it took me so long to reply I’m having problems with the old ‘puter. Loved the whole night and evidently we didn’t blot our copy books because I went back to The Thai House and EVERYBODY loves me. I guess my indiscriminate dancing gave the wait people a big laugh. dru

Wish you could have too. It was loads of fun! dru
I missed the reunion!
I know and I was looking for you and I didn’t even know you then.
We had finger Thia Food outside on a wooden deck with a fountain and blue lights. I gave out peace signs to wear around your neck and we all (read me) got very drunk!

I’m reblogging this post from two years ago as a friend who just read the poem said it was whimsical, melancholy, and achingly sad at the same time.
Thank you Friend!
