Archives for the month of: July, 2016

Oh hell!

Beware…Beware…there is HEAT out there. ~~dru~~

My time has not yet run out,
though at times i wish it would.
My clock keeps striking the hour and myself. ~~dru~~

i weep for my country too. ~~dru~~

This is one of many projects I’d back if I wasn’t a month behind on my mortgage and the car loan company wasn’t hounding me (those dogs) for this month’s payment.  I checked it out and the average donation is $60 per but I can’t do anything can you?  If not no worries…just view the video for the outstanding pictures you’re allowed to see.   ~~dru~~

I’ve never checked the fund raising company KickStarter out on Snopes nor done any other vetting and I’ve only once contributed $25 so I can’t really vouch for this company.  However I did buy a finished product from one of the startup companies that was funded thru this program and received the product just as advertised.  ~~dru~~

To night I’ve decided to go to the Opera!  ~~dru~~

My Fascinator Hat for the Opera by PseudoCyants

****************************************

This is the Queen of the Night’s Aria from Amadeus Milos Forman’s 1984 Film.  In this scene his mother in law becomes the evil queen of the night. The aria (Der Hölle Rache) is the 2nd Aria from Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflote)  It is sung in English by soprano June Anderson and acted by Milada Cechalov.

This a second You Tube offering of the same aria which is just a little more creepy to go along with the nature of the character.

AND NOW Inva Mula-Tchako performes an aria from Donnizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor (the mad scene) and ‘The Diva Dance’ song as filmed in the Fifth Element.

It looks like for the time being anyway, this is not only going to be a photo a day, but a quote a day type of blog.

Sunflowers-how I love them. And when paired with one of my all time favorite quotes-it seems to capture perfectly, why.

“How lovely yellow is! It stands for the sun.”

~ Vincent Van Gogh

Image taken with Hipstamatic using a double exposure with Penny Lens and Runway film and processed with iColorama, Snapseed, Stackables and Pic-Tap-Go

For today: How Lovely Yellow Is!

I think Jason is one of the most evocative of the poets that I’m following on Word Press, I never quite understand but each time I return to a poem something else occurs to me. ~~dru~~
