Why do I take this job….Oooo I remember, the money!
sub titled….Dufus and Dingo AND “the Mop” will not doubt take Auntie dru for an
e -ticket ride
So I’m starting my twelve day paid stint of watching after my canine and feline nephews while my sister and her hubby take a skiing rest hiatus up north and NOTHING of note happened this morning. I know it is early days yet but given this brood, when “Auntie dru” comes over, all bets are off.
Between Dufus, Dingo, the “Mop” and Pablo ,the rather slow cat; no one bit me, no one chewed anything beyond recognition, no one tried to escape and they only left me a couple of little doodles and one big pile of “we love you Auntie dru and are so glad to see you”.
(Aside these are my own names, not their given ones, for the book I’m going to write someday about our adventures in care giving and their love of pranks)
The three dogs consist of one mixed rescue dog that must have some pit bull and lots of a far larger dog – Dane? and perhaps including some Shar – Pei. One full blooded Basenji (rescued from the streets) and one Cock a Pooh mop thingie that has emotional issues after three attempts before finally finding his forever home.
The Cat, Pablo, was found run down on the road as a kitten and has since then lived a charmed and charming life and is GINORMOUS, plus loving but demanding. (Talks a lot but I don’t always understand the question however he will always settle down with some stroking and bitties).
-All the animals gain weight when Auntie dru comes to town-
So this morning all were calm and serene, took their treats like gentlemen, had an hour nap while dru watered plants, scooped the poop and pooped out on her own. Also they all exited stage backyard when asked the first time.
THEY WERE JUST AUNTIE DRU’S DARLINGS AS THEY CAN OFTEN BE
Sad to day they can also be devils and I believe they just hang out in the back yard (IN A SOMEWHAT SMALL CONDO BACK YARD) and plot how they can take Auntie dru for a ride. In the aggregate the 4 of them weigh more than 200 lbs…or thereabouts.
Assuming all is well this evening on the pm run….there will no more posts today but still there are still more tomorrows. They still have several outdoor beds in which to “MAKE IT SNOW!” Hopefully that will come around days 9 thru 12.
