i decided today that i needed to get my follow up appointment with my PCP to check on my glucose levels and my blood pressure. Three calls later my blood pressure is way up, i don’t care about my A1C and to hell with my flu shot. Why or why does it have to be so hard?
My friend sorry that you are going through this and I pray that tomorrow will be a better day for you..
Not sure what happened in those 3 calls. Did the PCP’s office push U to get an unwanted A1C test and an unwanted flu shot (in addition to what U did want)? The A1C test may provide useful info about how well blood sugar is being managed over time, as distinct from what the level is right now. So I am puzzled that U wanted to check your glucose level but did not want the A1C. Is it an insurance concern?
My insurance card doesn’t have a number where I can make an appointment. I used the membership services number. THAT number gave me a number to my clinic. THAT number was for another clinic. They transferred me twice but finally gave me the number to get an appointment. THAT number couldn’t get me an appointment for 7 weeks, they transferred me to my actual clinic that could get me an appointment in less than 7 weeks. By that time, I didn’t care. Lots of waiting on line and no satisfaction. I have an appointment now but I was tired. ~~dru~~
Hmmm. If U do find a number that reaches some place helpful, it will be worth a stack of post-it notes and some magnets on the fridge to keep it handy.
