They are all years old and probably made in Japan in the 50s and 60s but that is just a guess because none of them are back stamped. I had a collection of these duck wallpockets back in my collecting days. Well over 30. I gave some away when I moved and am now going to offer the rest at a consignment store where I won’t make pennies on what I spent 15 years ago. (That is if they sell at all) The link to my ebay auction is posted above.
If you view my next post, you’ll see most of my collection. They are not even all that I have left but I can’t hang them outside like I did at the last h ome I was in because my house is made of plaster and TOO MANY HOLES! Not to mention cracked 80 year old plaster. Thanx for stopping by Gassy. ~~dru~~
No problem Dru, eaten an Eskimo is gaining momentum…. Weve got a friend editing it right now and there’s talks about publication. Do you think my writing has the ability to make money?
You are very good with description and I see you more as screen play writing. However, I really do like your style and this last one just made me howl with the asides. I’d keep it up but not quit my day job as it were. At least you write instead of rebloging others or directly stealing their ideas like I do. Oh well, I have fun here and that is all that I do it for. ~~dru~~ too old, too fat, too lazy to work
I did a lot of collecting in my day too. It was what I enjoyed. The kids don’t seem to want it. It was something I could do by myself and get out and about. I could spend a whole day on a five or ten dollar bill digging through yard sales and thrift stores.
Me too and then along came the Internet and wham bam, no longer needed to even interact with other human beings. I still have a lot of my different collections on the walls and I LOVE looking at them to this day but all this stuff just hanging around in boxes is getting to me. However, clearing it out is a trial too.
Still, the exhilaration of a find sticks with me to this day and speaking of days, have a good one. ~~dru~~
Perhaps one day they will be. What do you make those? How much are they going for?
